District 26 - Serving Colorado, Wyoming and Western Nebraska

Greetings, District 26.

The month of August ushers in an important period for us. Can your club add five new, dual, or reinstated members with a join date between August 1st and September 30th? Accomplish this goal and you’ll qualify to receive a Smedley Award ribbon that you can display on your club’s banner. Qualifying clubs could also earn a special discount code for 10% off their next club order!

What is the Smedley Award, anyway?

The award is named after Ralph Smedley, the founder of Toastmasters. In his honor, Toastmasters International created a membership-building contest period to focus on club growth. This is the first of three membership-building contests during the Toastmasters program year. The Smedley Award is a very high distinction within our organization. Click here for more information.

Also effective this month, clubs may begin collecting dues for the October–March renewal period. Be sure to renew your clubs early to check off that goal for Distinguished Club Program (DCP)!

Thank you to the volunteers who have expressed an interest in being a club coach! We are in the process of interviewing candidates. If you have a talent for helping others and would like to contribute to the success of a struggling club, please consider volunteering for this prestigious and gratifying role.

Please contact me any time with feedback, ideas or questions at jsr1113.tm[at]nullgmail.com.
