Club officers and guests, please attend the most convenient Toastmaster Leadership Institute (TLI) listed below and bring your Club Leadership Handbook for reference. Training will commence 30 minutes after doors open.

TLIs are a great place to network, learn, and share ideas with other club officers. What can you expect?

  • Learn club officer roles and responsibilities
  • Learn how to build or rebuild clubs
  • Earn credit towards your club’s Distinguished Club Program goal #9
  • Learn new topics during elective educational sessions

Rheid Schloss is a multi-award winning motivational speaker, leadership trainer, and executive speech coach.  He loves small business ownership, working with startups, and helping others achieve their dreams. He has a bachelor’s degree in business administration with an emphasis in organizational leadership. He is a Solutions Engineer at Hewlett Packard Enterprise where he holds 9 patents in networking and systems utilities. He has helped created 5 startup companies and owned 7 businesses.

In 2008 Rheid joined Toastmasters International.  He is a Distinguished Toastmaster, past Division Governor, past Area Governor, and held every office at the club level.  In 2016, Rheid won the District 26, International Speech Contest in Denver Colorado advancing him to the Semi-Finals of the World Championship of Public Speaking in Washington DC.  He competed with 98 other contestants out of 30,000 participants from around the world.

Rheid’s speeches and workshops  have reached audiences around the world.  His speeches focus on overcoming setbacks and trials. His workshops focus on the Art and Science of Communication which are customized for Programmers,  Engineers, and Managers. His leadership workshop focuses on building trust, emotional intelligence, coaching, and leadership diversity.

How does climbing Mt. Everest help Toastmaster Leaders
impact their clubs? Current Toastmaster and Global
Mountaineer, Brooke Chesnut, will share the essential
concepts that enabled him to be successful on Mt. Everest.
These same concepts can also be applied by Club Leaders
to impact their influence, grow the membership and produce
results so that each Club member can expand their skills.

Brooke Chesnut has dedicated 30 years of corporate
experience combined with climbing the highest peaks
around the world. Drawing from those experiences, Brooke
helps entrepreneurs, business executives, HR professionals
and Toastmaster Leaders improve their influence, overcome
adversity, and grow their Clubs / Business in a competitive
environment.

Brooke shares a unique perspective as a worldwide
mountaineer whose leadership model was dynamically
influenced with time spent climbing Mt. Everest in 2018.
He connects with audiences through a highly
conversational, story-driven, and visual experience. Brooke
will take audiences to the mountainside so they can “see
what I saw, sense what I felt, and learn what I realized.”
