It’s almost spring, and our current membership drive, Talk Up Toastmasters, has a couple more weeks to go until the end of the month. Remember that if a club enrolls five new, dual or reinstated members between February 1st and March 31st, they will receive a recognition ribbon and a special discount for club purchases. If your club currently has a coach, this is a helpful move to getting Distinguished status under their tutelage. There’s still time to have Open Houses, too!
The next dues cycle is rapidly approaching on April 1st. Remember that on-time club renewal payments are one of the requirements for your club to reach Distinguished. Speaking of dues, the New Club incentive from Headquarters has been extended through June 2021. If a club charters by then, the charter fee will be refunded, and the $20 fee for each new member will be waived so long as the new club’s dues are paid in advance. Two clubs are currently in the chartering process in our District, and another may be initiating soon. You can help spread the word to friends and co-workers about how valuable our organization is for helping leaders grow and teaching them how to improve their communication skills in virtual environments.
News flash: The Speechcraft program has been enhance at TI, and is now offered online in much the same fashion as Pathways. There is a cost to each club of $50 and it’s all online. However, I have hard copy workbooks of the legacy program that D26 is providing for free to any club who requests the kit. Additionally, we have some legacy PDF files of the same kits. They will teach you what you need to know about implementing the program to your club.
