Speech Titles:
1) New develoments in the treatments of HIV/AIDS and other viral illnesses
Description: Based upon a privately funded clinical study in South Africa, we have developed a new treatment strategy which may change the way we approach and treat HIV/AIDS and other viral illnesses. While most anti- retroviral therapy (ART) works directly against viruses, this new approach works with the immune system through the delivery of passive immune factors to enhance the immune response, which ultimately leads to a favorable outcome without any side effects. |

2) A new approach to the orphaned illnesses
Description: Orphan diseases are those which the medical community has no standard of care, except to treat symptoms. These include chronic illness such as fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, lupus, multiple sclerosis, rheumatoid arthritis and a host of other diseases in the auto-immune family. Understanding the history, onset and progression of these chronic illnesses can often help develop a treatment strategy which does more than treat symptoms, but gets to the heart of the problem. Those who have attended this seminar leave with a whole new outlook on their illness and often are able to enjoy a greater quality of life, by working with those symptoms which are most debilitating and learning to understand those which are less troubling. |

3) Stress Management 101
Description: We live in a society obsessed with stress. We all have to learn to deal with it in our personal as well as professional lives. Stress has significant impact upon our health, increasing the risk of cardiovascular disease, high blood pressure, stroke, cancer and overall health. Clearly, learning how to manage stress would improve health. With deadlines, time pressure, over committments and financial worries, how does one learn how to manage stress? The key to stress management is understanding how stress affects our health and that its not the stress that causes disease. Its our perception of that stress. Rather than teach you how to eliminate stress, Dr. Winkel shows you how to change your perception of stress so that you can lower your blood pressure, raise your outlook on life and improve your overall health. |

4) Children's Environmental Health-The Canary Connection
Description: Children are the only future the human race has, yet children's health is in serious jeopardy. Cancer rates are rising, ear and sinus infections are high, asthma is the #1 reason for school absentism, type II diabetes is up 23% over the past 10 years and neurological disorders like ADD/ADHD and autism are up 300% in some states. What is behind this dramatic increase in childhood disease? The answer is simple, but the solution more complex. Dr. Winkel gives an overview of the environmental issues and demonstrates how aware parents can dramatically improve the health of their children by a few simple steps. This is a new topic in the field of environmental science and important if we want our children to live healthy and fulfilling lives. |

5) Protecting yourself from a Secret Killer
Description: Five of top ten leading causes of death in the US are related to a single factor. Alter this one factor and you can make a significant impact upon the health of the majority of the US population. However in a recent poll less than 1% of the population knew what that factor was or how to control it. In fact, most physicians are not aware of the impact that chronic inflammation has on the health of the cardiovascular system, the brain, the endocrine and the immune system. In this seminar, you will learn the factors that raise your inflammation score and also simple and effective means to lower chronic inflammation. This is becoming one of the most important indicators of overall health for every man, woman and child on Earth. Knowing and understanding your CRP score may be far more important than knowing your cholesterol level. |
