Front Range Toastmasters Club - How to Join

How to join our club

Please come by and visit for a meeting or two. Get an idea of how our club works and the culture/personalities that are present. If you decide this is something for you, all you have to do is fill out a membership application. The club will take the application along with your check and then votes you into the club as a member.

The application along with the dues are sent to Toastmasters International for processing. Within a couple of weeks, you will recieve an envelope in the mail containing two manuals and some other materials. From that point forward, you are a member of the organization.

Dues

The Front Range Toastmasters Club charges $39 every six months. $12 of this fee is to keep the club afloat, paying for operating expenses. The remaining $27 is paid to Toastmasters International, of which a percentage is paid to the District 26 entity which oversees and organizes events for all clubs in the Colorado (and surrounding) areas. The dues are prorated by month when you join so that you are on the same dues paying schedule as everyone else in the club. Dues are due in October and April.

In addition, there is a one-time $20 fee when you join paid to Toastmasters International. This pays for the overhead necessary for getting you into their system.

Do the math!

We meet for 1.75 hours every week (except for two per year).
1.75 x 25 weeks = 43.75 hours of training for $39.
$39 / 43.75 hours = $0.66 per hour
of communication and leadership training.
Can you beat that deal?
