WEEKLY UPDATE FROM KEN G.

DEC 1:

We had our first meeting in our new digs, the Academy Room at City Hall. Everyone was impressed with the site, which has more flexibility than our own site and is, if anything, a warmer atmosphere. Alicia Jarvis did her first stint as TMOD...and a nice job at that. Terri Amman gave her eighth speech, a multi-media number organized around a dollar bill. John Hock was evaluator. Urszula Teterwak provided the Table Topics.

Thanks to Eric Lundberg, Tangerine Almeida, and Michael Cliett for serving as passionate functionaries. We had reports from some members who couldn't find the location, so note directions below.

DEC 8:

Rey Cinocco is signed up to be our TMOD, Bob Bear and John Hock are our speakers, and Alicia Jarvis as our Table Topics Masters. There's room for more. And just to keep everyone on their toes, this week's meeting will be in city hall, but it will be in the "Pikes Peak Room" (our backup room) instead of the Academy room (our regular room).

CITY HALL:

It's that historic building on the northeast corner of Nevada and Kiowa. Use the southeast street-level entrance. Two and four-hour meters were abundant last week, but there is also a public parking lot on the southwest corner of Nevada and Kiowa.

PIKES PEAK ROOM IN CITY HALL (Dec 8 meeting only): Take the elevator to the right of the security desk to the second floor. Take a right from the elevator and right again into the Assistant City Manager's complex. The Pikes Peak room will be on the right (again). It's a large board room, rather sumptuous. If you get confused about where to go, ask security on the first floor or anyone on the second. People are friendly
