Cool Site of the month
Cool websites are those with a web presence that provide good resources, free stuff, and great information to help you achieve success.

 Emotional Intelligence
      http://eqi.org

The EQI.org web site is full of great information, but is stoic in presentation. Those that visit the site expecting bells and whistles will be sorely disappointed. The primary reason this site was selected is due to the site content. Emotional intelligence is a vital aspect of communication and leadership. The following is a list of 10 suggestions for developing emotional intelligence.

1. Become emotionally literate. Label your feelings, rather than labeling people or situations.
2. Distinguish between thoughts and feelings.
3. Take more responsibility for your feelings.
4. Use your feelings to help them make decisions.
5. Show respect for other people's feelings.
6. Feel energized, not angry.
7. Validate other people's feelings.
8. Practice getting a positive value from emotions.
9. Don't advise, command, control, criticize, judge or lecture to others.
10. Avoid people who invalidate you.

Developing emotional intelligence will be an asset in all of your communications!
