How to Plan, Promote and Conduct Toastmasters Contests Public speaking is like playing golf. There's always room for improvement and it's a heck of a lot eaiser to play if you have a full range of clubs. By participating in Toastmasters contests, we're able to add another very special club to our golf bag. You can't buy it in a store, you can't benefit by reading about it in a book, can't even get it from attending your own Toastmasters club evey week. You can only receive this special gift by participating in Toastmasters contests at or beyond the club level. My hope with this section is to give you incentive to organize a contest at your club, maybe even host an area or division contest, encourage more members to partipate, and to help you to accomplish those tasks in a time-efficient manner.
