CC to DTM Defined
Toastmasters gives members a continuous forum for learning. Many people have been involved with the learning process provided by Toastmasters for 15, 20 or even 30 years or more.
To monitor our levels of accomplishment, Toastmasters International has assembled various levels of achievement for us to strive towards.
Each level requires members to meet specific objectives. Once met, the central office records accomplishment in members' personal file for future reference.
Competent Communicator Award (CC)
This is the first level of achievement. To receive your CC award from Toastmasters International, you must:
- Complete the ten speeches in the Communication manual.
- Submit your CC application to Toastmasters International.
Toastmasters International will:
- Send an authentic certificate to you for your achievement
- Send two Advanced Manuals manuals of your choice for you to use in later speeches
- Send a notice of your accomplishment to your employer (optional)
Advanced Communicator Bronze Award (AC-B)
To receive your AC-B award from Toastmasters International, you must:
- Have attained CC status
- Complete two additional advanced manuals
- Submit your AC-B application to Toastmasters International
Toastmasters International will:
- Send an authentic certificate to you for your achievement
- Send a notice of your accomplishment to your employer (optional)
Advanced Communicator Silver Award (AC-S)
To receive your AC-S award from Toastmasters International, you must:
- Have attained AC Bronze status
- Complete two additional advanced manuals (excluding those used for your AC Bronze award)
- Conduct any two programs from the Better Speaker Series or the Successful Club Series
- Submit your AC-S application to Toastmasters International
Toastmasters International will:
- Send an authentic certificate to you for your achievement
- Send a notice of your accomplishment to your employer (optional)
Advanced Communicator Gold (AC-G)
To receive your AC-G award from Toastmasters International, you must:
- Have attained AC Silver status
- Complete two additional advanced manuals (excluding those used for your AC Bronze or AC Silver award).
- Conduct a registered Success/Communication Program, Success/Leadership Program, or Youth Leadership Program.
- Coach a new member with the first three speech projects.
- Submit your AC-G application to Toastmasters International
Toastmasters International will:
- Send an authentic certificate to you for your achievement
- Send a notice of your accomplishment to your employer (optional)
Competent Leader (CL)
To receive your CL award from Toastmasters International, you must:
- Have attained CC status
- Complete the ten projects in the Leadership manual.
Toastmasters International will:
- Send an authentic certificate to you for your achievement
- Send a notice of your accomplishment to your employer (optional)
Advanced Leader-Bronze (AL-B)
To receive your AL-B award from Toastmasters International, you must:
- Have attained CL status
- Serve at least six months as a club officer and participate in the preparation of a Club Success Plan
- While a club officer, participate in a district-sponsored club officer training program
- Conduct any two programs from the Successful Club Series
Toastmasters International will:
- Send an authentic certificate to you for your achievement
- Send a notice of your accomplishment to your employer (optional)
Advanced Leader-Silver (AL-S)
To receive your AL-S award from Toastmasters International, you must:
- Have attained AL-B status
- Serve a complete term as a district officer.
- Complete the High Performance Leadership Program.
- Serve successfully as a Club Sponsor, Mentor, or Specialist.
Toastmasters International will:
- Send an authentic certificate to you for your achievement
- Send a notice of your accomplishment to your employer (optional)
Distinguished Toastmaster (DTM)
To receive your DTM award from Toastmasters International, you must:
- Have attained AC Gold status
- Have attained AL Silver status.
Toastmasters International will:
- Send an authentic plaque to you for your achievement
- Send a notice of your accomplishment to your employer (optional)
- Announce your accomplishment in its magazine, The Toastmaster
