About
our Club
We provide a supportive, comfortable and creative environment
to help members
develop their public speaking skills, work on listening skills, and
build
self-confidence. Our members can tell you it really works!
Our club got its unusual name when it was formed in 1980 by people who "work on bodies" at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center, Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment and Rose Medical Center. However, we are not just employees at these institutions. Our club is open to anyone.
In our club, we help each other improve impromptu speaking, constructing and delivering speeches, evaluating other speakers in a helpful, constructive way and leading meetings effectively. We use the educational manuals from Toastmasters International to build speaking skills.
Please come to visit us, whether you just want to stop by the meeting or if you're ready to become an active member.
